SSC Result 2026 Confirmed for August 10: Education Ministry Announces Final Date

After weeks of date changes and mounting anxiety, more than 1.85 million students finally have an answer that allows them to plan. The results of the 2026 SSC and equivalent exams will be released on Monday, August 10, 2026.

The confirmation came on Monday, July 27, from Md. Abdul Khaleq, Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, who communicated the date to Prothom Alo.

For SSC, Dakhil, and vocational students across the country, and for the parents who have been following the news closely since July 20, this announcement puts an end to the uncertainty.

A Date That Kept Moving

The road to August 10 has been unusually long, and it’s worth tracing because it explains why so much confusion built up along the way:

  • June 8: At a Secretariat press conference, Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon announced the results would be published on July 20
  • July 18: With two days to go, Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee president and Dhaka Board Chairman Professor Syed Aktaruzzaman confirmed July 20 was not happening — but said the boards were ready to publish within July
  • Late July: Board officials said result preparation would finish by July 27-28, with ministry sources indicating July 30 as a probable publication date
  • July 27: The ministry settles it — August 10

This latest development deserves special mention: until yesterday, everything pointed to July 30th. The confirmed date comes about ten days later than what officials had suggested just 24 hours earlier.

The fundamental reason for the entire delay has been the same: the very body that processes the SSC results spent July absorbed by the HSC exam crisis: flooding, the indefinite suspension of the Chattogram Board, nationwide protests, a flawed Physics exam, and the organization of make-up exams for nearly 20,000 absent students.

The Scale of August 10

This year’s examinations began on April 21 and the written papers ran through May 20, followed by practical examinations. Sitting them were more than 18,57,000 candidates across three streams:

  • SSC — under the nine general education boards
  • Dakhil — under the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board
  • SSC and Dakhil (Vocational) — under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board

All three will receive their results on the same day.

How to Check Your Result on August 10

The checking methods remain exactly as in previous years. Both routes go live after the formal announcement, traditionally from late morning.

Online — with full marksheet

  1. Visit www.educationboardresults.gov.bd
  2. Select SSC/Dakhil/Equivalent as the examination
  3. Select the year: 2026
  4. Select your education board
  5. Enter your roll number and registration number exactly as printed on your admit card
  6. Complete the security captcha and submit

Your subject-wise marksheet appears on screen, ready to print or save.

By SMS — the result-day lifesaver

Type: SSC (space) first three letters of your board (space) Roll (space) 2026 and send to 16222

Example: SSC DHA 123456 2026

Madrasah Board candidates type Dakhil with board code MAD; technical students use their board’s format. When the website slows under the weight of lakhs of simultaneous visitors in the first hour, SMS almost always gets through faster.

What to Do Between Now and August 10

Two weeks is enough time to remove every avoidable stress from result morning:

  1. Locate your admit card today and note down your roll and registration numbers somewhere safe — a photo on your phone plus a written copy
  2. Don’t trust any “early result” claims. With a confirmed official date now on record, anything circulating before August 10 is false. Every result season brings phishing links promising early access
  3. Start your college shortlist now. HSC admission follows soon after results, and families who begin researching options in advance make far better decisions than those who start on result day
  4. Prepare for server congestion. Have the SMS method ready as your backup, and don’t panic if the website crawls in the first hour
  5. Look after the student in your house. Two more weeks of waiting is genuinely hard on a teenager. However August 10 goes, a number on a marksheet is one step in a long road — not a verdict on anyone’s worth

What Comes After the Result

Two processes follow quickly once results are out:

Appeal (Review): Students who believe their grades are incorrect can request a review through the Teletalk SMS system within a specified timeframe, which will be announced along with the results. This is usually within a few days and there is a fee per subject. We will publish the full guide as soon as the announcement is released.

University Admission: Applications for admission to HSC will open shortly afterward through the central online system, and your grade point average (GPA) will determine your available options.

We will publish direct links to your grades, pass rates by examining board, GPA-5 statistics, and the appeal guide on the same day the results are released. To all SSC 2026 test takers: the date is set, the hardest part is over, and August 10th is just one day to get through. Good luck and stay tuned!
