The tests will be conducted in two shifts — the first from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the second from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.. This time, the examination centers will not be limited to Rajshahi University alone; students can also sit for the exam from public university campuses in Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur, and Barishal divisions.

For the RU Admission 2026, the university has decided to continue using the short syllabus used in the HSC exams. According to Professor Dr. Abu Sadeque Md. Kamruzzaman, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, this approach ensures fairness and keeps consistency with previous years’ standards.

The one-hour exam will be MCQ-based and carry 100 marks. A total of 80 questions will be asked, and for every four wrong answers, one mark will be deducted. The pass mark for each unit is 40.

The university has also announced that there will be no preliminary selection this year. Every student who meets the eligibility criteria will be able to apply and sit for the test. The application fee for the “A” Unit (Humanities) is Tk 1,320, for the “B” Unit (Business Studies) is Tk 1,100, and for the “C” Unit (Science) is Tk 1,320 — all inclusive of a 10% service charge.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility requirements for Rajshahi University Admission 2026 vary depending on the student’s group in the HSC examination.

For Humanities and Business Studies applicants:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.00 in both SSC and HSC (including the fourth subject).
  • Combined GPA must be at least 7.00.

For Science group applicants:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.50 in both SSC and HSC.
  • Combined GPA must be at least 8.00.

For Diploma-in-Engineering students:

  • GPA will be calculated on a 5.00 scale.

For GCE (O Level and A Level) students:

  • Must pass at least five subjects in O Level and two subjects in A Level.
  • Across the total of seven subjects, they must secure grade B in four subjects and grade C in three.
  • Candidates who wish to take the exam in English must fill out an additional form for the English question paper during the final application stage.

Students under quota categories including freedom fighters’ children, ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, athletes, and BKSP students must apply following the online quota instructions.
