The Medical Admission Result 2025–26 for government and private medical and dental colleges has been published. The admission test results were released on Sunday, December 14, in the afternoon. Candidates who appeared in the MBBS and BDS admission test can now check their results online through the official website.
This year’s medical admission test recorded a pass rate of 66.57 percent, reflecting the tough competition among students. More than one lakh candidates took part in the exam, aiming to secure a seat in medical and dental colleges across the country.
In this year’s admission test, Jahangir Alam Shanto secured the top position nationwide. His roll number is 2413671, and he appeared at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College center in Dhaka. Shanto achieved an impressive 91.25 marks, placing him first among all candidates.
A total of 120,440 candidates appeared in the admission test, which is 98.21 percent of the registered applicants. Meanwhile, 2,192 candidates were absent, accounting for 1.79 percent, and two candidates were expelled during the examination. Among the 81,642 candidates who passed, 31,128 are male (38.13 percent), and 50,514 are female (61.87 percent), showing a higher success rate among female candidates.
For students interested in private medical colleges and dental colleges or units, the selection process will be completed later. Admissions will be conducted according to the “MBBS and BDS Course Student Admission Policy–2026”, prepared by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council, based on online applications submitted by eligible candidates.
Candidates can check their results online by visiting the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) website. After clicking on the link titled “MBBS Result 2025–2026,” candidates need to enter their admission test roll number and press the “Result” button. The result will then appear on the screen, which can be downloaded or saved as a screenshot. The full merit list has also been published on the website in PDF format.
