The Scholarship Exam for Class 5 (Ibtedayi) and Class 8 (Dakhil) will be held based on New Mark Distribution. The previous mark distribution has been cancelled by Madrasah Board.
Students who are going to participate in the exam, must know the subject wise marks.
The Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board has published a new marks distribution scholarship exam for 2025. The notice was released on Thursday, October 23, following approval from the Technical and Madrasa Education Board under the Ministry of Education.
According to the announcement, the exams will follow the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) textbooks. The question structure will also match the format approved by the Madrasa Education Board.
“The Class 5 and 8 Scholarship Exam under Madrasah Board will be conducted through New Mark Distribution. The Class 5 scholarship exam will include four subjects with a total of 400 marks,” the notice reads.

Ibtedayi Scholarship Exam (Class 5)
The Class 5 scholarship exam will include four subjects with a total of 400 marks.
- Qur’an Majid and Tajweed: 100 marks
- Arabic (1st and 2nd papers): 50 + 50 = 100 marks
- Bangla and English: 50 + 50 = 100 marks
- Mathematics and Science: 60 + 40 = 100 marks
- Total Marks: 400
Dakhil Scholarship Exam (Class 8)
The Class 8 (Dakhil) scholarship exam will also have 400 marks in total. The marks are divided as follows:
- Qur’an Majid & Tajweed and Aqeed & Fiqh: 50 + 50 = 100 marks
- Arabic (1st and 2nd papers): 50 + 50 = 100 marks
- Bangla and English: 50 + 50 = 100 marks
- Mathematics and Science: 60 + 40 = 100 marks
- Total Marks: 400
The new notice also says that earlier guidelines issued on September 1 and September 23, 2025. This notice included old question patterns and marks distribution, are no longer valid. All instructions from those notices have been cancelled.
This means that students must now prepare according to the latest marks distribution and question structure provided by the Board.
