Khulna University (KU) Admission test 2025-2026 in own method, Exam date soon

Khulna University (KU) is preparing for its admission test for the 2025-2026 academic year. However, the exact date has not yet been finalized. The university authorities have confirmed that, like last year, KU will conduct the test through its own system instead of joining the GST (General, Science & Technology) cluster.

A decision regarding the exam date is expected within this week, as the schedule may be adjusted considering the upcoming national elections and Ramadan in February 2026.

Khulna University Admission Test 2025–26

On Tuesday (October 10), Khulna University’s Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid Khan, spoke regarding the matter, report The Daily Campus. He said,

“We have not yet fixed the date of the examination. Since Ramadan and the national election are likely to take place in February, it is expected that the exam schedule may be moved up a bit. A decision regarding the exam date may come within this week.”

This indicates that the KU Admission Test 2025–26 could be held earlier than usual, depending on the national schedule and academic calendar.

KU to Follow Its Own Admission System

Khulna University follows a unique term-based academic system, which is different from the semester systems followed by other public universities. The Pro-Vice Chancellor mentioned that continuing under the GST system disrupts KU’s internal academic calendar.

“If we remain under the GST cluster system, our academic sessions face disruptions. Therefore, even though there is pressure from the UGC and other universities, we prefer to hold our exams independently,” he added.

KU Admission Test Date Announcement Soon

As of now, the final date and detailed schedule for the Khulna University Admission Test 2025–26 have not been announced. However, university officials have confirmed that the decision is expected within this week.

Once finalized, the official notice will be available on the Khulna University website (ku.ac.bd) and major national education portals including All Result Net. Students are advised to stay alert for the upcoming announcement to prepare accordingly.

Why KU Left the GST System

Last year, Khulna University withdrew from the GST system following continuous student demands. The university organized its own admission test, which included both MCQ and written sections, providing a fair assessment of applicants’ knowledge and analytical skills.

In the 2024–25 academic year, the exam was conducted in three divisional cities: Khulna, Dhaka, and Rajshahi.

Huge Response in Previous Admission

The decision to conduct the test independently proved to be a success. Against 1,110 available seats, KU received a record-breaking 107,685 applications across Units A, B, and C in the last academic year. The overwhelming response highlighted the growing popularity and reputation of Khulna University among students nationwide.
