Jahangirnagar University (JU) has fixed the date for JU Admission test for the session 2025-2026. The authority will conduct the 1st Year Undergraduate admission test on last week of December 2025.
The tentative date was announced after a meeting of the Central Admission Test Committee held on Tuesday (October 7) afternoon. Syed Mohammad Ali Reza, Deputy Registrar (Education), confirmed the matter following the meeting.
He said, “In today’s meeting of the Central Admission Test Committee, a decision was made regarding the probable time of the admission test. The committee has made a preliminary decision to hold the 2025–26 academic year admission test in the last week of December this year.”
The committee also formed a coordination team led by Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, Vice-Chancellor (Education) of Jahangirnagar University, to oversee all activities related to the upcoming admission test.
Committee Confirms Tentative Schedule
Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, who also serves as the Chairman of the Central Admission Test Committee, confirmed the preliminary decision. He said, “A primary decision has been made to hold the admission test for the 2025–26 academic year in the last week of December.”

When asked about possible changes in test centers or the unit-based exam system, he clarified that no final decision has been made yet. The committee will review and decide on these issues later, depending on logistical needs and student participation.
Previous Year’s Admission Overview
For reference, the JU Admission Test 2024–25 was held from February 9 to February 17, 2025. The exams were conducted smoothly across several units on the university campus, maintaining strict discipline and a fair environment for all candidates.
This year, students and guardians are expecting an earlier schedule compared to the previous session, which may help universities start the academic year on time.
