Govt School Admission Lottery Tomorrow, Results to Be Published Online

The nationwide admission result 2025-2026 for students from Class 1 to Class 9 in government and selected private schools will be held tomorrow, Thursday, 11 December 2025. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has completed all preparations for the digital draw, which will take place at 10:00 AM at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka.

This year, the admission process has been conducted entirely through the Government School Admission (GSA) online system. Students and guardians who applied between 20 November and 5 December will be able to check the results from home once the lottery ends.

Lottery to Be Broadcast Live

According to DSHE, tomorrow’s lottery will be broadcast live on the official Facebook page of the International Mother Language Institute. The move aims to ensure transparency and allow parents across the country to observe the selection process.

A notice published on the DSHE website on Wednesday stated that the Govt School Admission Result will be available immediately after the lottery. Applicants and institution heads can log in using their assigned User ID and password to download the result sheets from the GSA portal (gsa.teletalk.com.bd).

Over 11 Lakh Seats Available

For the 2025–2026 academic year, a total of 11,93,281 seats are available in 4,048 schools across the country. Among them, 688 government schools will admit students to 1,21,030 seats, while 3,360 private schools have 10,72,251 seats.

DSHE officials said the entire admission process will be completed centrally through the digital lottery. No school will be allowed to process admissions outside the official system.

Schools Must Follow DSHE Instructions

Institution heads will be required to download and verify their school’s result sheet immediately after publication. They must forward the results to the chairman of the respective district or upazila admission committee and inform DSHE by email, as per the notice.

Once the result sheets reach the institutions, each school’s admission committee will arrange a meeting to finalize steps for admitting selected students. DSHE has instructed schools to follow all rules and complete the admission process within the official timeline.

Results Accessible From Home

Students and guardians will be able to check their lottery results directly by logging into the GSA portal. They will be able to see whether they have been selected and which school has been allotted.

Officials have advised parents not to visit schools immediately after the results are announced. Schools will issue separate notices regarding document submission, verification, and admission dates.
