The recruitment circular for Assistant Teacher in Govt Primary School to be published soon. This will be the first notification after scrapping the women’s quota with new rules. About 93 percent of all positions will now be filled based on merit.
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education (MOPME) has formed an eight-member “Central Primary School Teacher Recruitment Committee.”, report ProthomAlo.
This year, the Ministry has announced the “Primary School Teacher Recruitment Rules, 2025” on August 28, 2025. A notification in this regard was issued on the official website.
“From now on, the new rules will be applied for Govt Primary Schools. A total of 93 per cent candidates will be recruited based on merit. The rest of the post will be reserved under quotas,” the notice reads.
Quota Distribution
- 5% for children of freedom fighters, martyred freedom fighters, and Biranganas (female freedom fighters)
- 1% for candidates from ethnic minority groups
- 1% for people with disabilities and third gender candidates
The authority also stated that the all the posts will be filled based on merit if there are no candidates found under the quota.
DPE Primary Circular 2025: Mark Distribution
Interested candidates will need to participate the written (MCQ Type) exam. According to the new rule, the exam will be held for 90 marks. Candidates must get 50% marks to qualify for the next exam. So, candidates will need to get 45 marks in the written exam. On the other hand, there will be 10 marks for viva exam.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has released a recruitment notification for Head Teacher in the Govt Primary School. With this, the government going to recruit 2,169 Head Teachers across the country.
