More than nine years after the original recruitment circular was published, the authority has officially announced the exam date and made the admit card available online. Candidates who applied for the Computer Typist and Accounts Assistant posts under the 2016 circular can now download their admit cards from the official website.
This recruitment process is one of the longest pending government job examinations in recent years. With the MCQ-type written exam scheduled for December 26, 2025, candidates are advised to prepare carefully and collect their admit cards well before the exam date.
DPE Computer Typist, Accounts Assistant Exam 2025
The Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) has officially confirmed that the Computer Typist and Accounts Assistant Exam 2025 will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025. This announcement comes after a long gap of over nine years since the recruitment notification was published on October 3, 2016. As per the official notice, the exam will be conducted in MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) format.
According to the recruitment circular, a total of 184 candidates will be appointed for the Office Assistant Cum Computer Typist post, while 164 candidates will be recruited for the Accounts Assistant post. The online application process was completed back in 2016, starting from October 10 and ending on October 30. Only those candidates who successfully applied during that period are eligible to sit for the exam.
