The Junior Scholarship Examination 2025, also known as the Class 8 Scholarship, it’s exam date officially announced. According to the Dhaka Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, the exam will begin on December 21, 2025, and the results are expected to be published on January 31, 2025.

The Junior Scholarship is an important academic milestone for Class 8 students in Bangladesh. It not only helps students continue their studies with financial aid but also recognizes their merit and hard work.
The Ministry of Education has finalized the exam policy, syllabus, and evaluation system. Eligible students must prepare according to the prescribed subjects and mark distribution published by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB).
Class 8 Scholarship Exam
The Class 8 Scholarship Exam 2025 will be held under the supervision of the Secondary and Higher Education Division. Only 25% of students from each school’s Class 8 batch (based on their Class 7 results) will be eligible to sit for the exam. This ensures that the most deserving students get a chance to compete.
The subjects included in this exam are Bangla, English, Mathematics, Science, and Bangladesh & Global Studies. Each of Bangla, English, and Mathematics will carry 100 marks, while Science and Bangladesh & Global Studies will carry 50 marks each. Thus, the total marks for the exam will be 400. The exam duration will be 3 hours for all subjects. However, there will be additional 30 minutes for students with special needs.
Class 8 Britti Exam Date Announced
The Class 8 Britti Exam 2025 will officially begin on December 21, 2025. The Dhaka Board has confirmed that admit cards will be available online on December 10, 2025. Students must collect and print their admit cards before the exam day.
Before the exam, schools and upazila-level authorities must prepare and submit the list of eligible candidates and exam centers to the district committee by September 30, 2025. Online form fill-up will be available between October 5–9, 2025. Candidates can pay the fees until October 12, 2025, through Sonali Seba.
The authority also said that question papers will be distributed and verified from October 26 to November 13, 2025. After that handed over to district administrators between November 16–23, 2025.
Type of Scholarship
There are two types of scholarships under the Junior Scholarship Examination 2025:
- Talent Pool Scholarship – Awarded to top-performing students with the highest scores.
- General Scholarship – Awarded to students with good performance who meet the required cut-off.
The policy also ensures gender equality by reserving 50% of the scholarships for boys and 50% for girls. However, if suitable candidates are not found in a category, the quota can be shifted between boys and girls.
Students with disabilities will also get extra privileges, including 30 minutes of additional exam time, to ensure fairness and inclusivity.
Result Published Date
The Junior Scholarship Exam Result 2025 will be published on January 31, 2026, as per the official announcement. Once published, students can check their results online through the official website of the respective education boards.
The result will include the merit list for both Talent Pool and General Scholarship categories. Schools will also publish the selected students’ names on their notice boards. Students must keep their admit cards safe, as the roll number will be required to check the result.
