The Bangladesh Open University (BOU) has officially postponed the BA and BSS examinations that were scheduled to be held on Friday, October 10, 2025. The decision came following unavoidable circumstances, as confirmed in an official notice released by the university’s Examination Controller’s office.
The decision was taken on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
According to the letter signed by Md. Habibullah Mahmud, Acting Controller of Examinations at BOU, the scheduled BA and BSS exams both morning and afternoon sessions will not take place on the previously announced date. Instead, the postponed examinations will now be held on December 5, 2025.
BOU BA, BSS Exam 2025 Postponement Notice
The official notice was issued on Tuesday (October 7, 2025). It clearly stated that due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the university could not conduct the scheduled exams on October 10. However, students are assured that the new exam date has already been finalized.
A senior BOU official confirmed, “All necessary preparations for the BA and BSS exams are in place. The examinations will now be conducted on December 5, and all previously issued admit cards will remain valid for the new date.”
What Students Should Know
Students who were scheduled to sit for the BA and BSS exams on October 10 do not need to worry about reissuing their admit cards. The existing admit cards will be accepted during the rescheduled examination on December 5. BOU has already published updated exam routine on its official website (www.bou.ac.bd).
