The National University of Bangladesh has officially published the Honours 1st Year Result 2025, showing an overall pass rate of 87.04 percent. The result is for the academic session 2023–2024 and was announced on Tuesday, December 23. Students can check their results online from the official website of the National University.
According to the official notice, the result was published after receiving final approval from the Academic Council and Syndicate. The notice was signed by Professor Anamul Karim, Controller of the Examination. As per the announcement, the results went live online from 3:00 PM, allowing students across the country to access their outcomes at the same time.
This year, a total of 4,43,729 students from 877 colleges under the National University appeared in the Honours 1st Year examination. The exams were held over a long period, starting on August 24, 2025, and ending on October 15, 2025. Despite the large number of candidates, the university managed to complete the evaluation process smoothly and publish the results on schedule.
Students can view their pass or fail status, GPA, and subject-wise grades by visiting result.nu.ac.bd and entering their roll number, registration number, and exam year. Due to high traffic, the website may be slow at times. In that case, students are advised to wait for a while and try again later.
The Honours 1st Year result is very important, as it determines whether a student can move on to the second year of their Honours program. Students who have passed will be eligible for Honours 2nd Year registration following the National University guidelines. Those who did not pass in one or more subjects may get the chance to sit for improvement or re-examinations, depending on official notices published later.
The online result is provisional. The original marksheet and academic transcript will be distributed through the respective colleges after official instructions from the National University. Students are advised to stay in contact with their college authorities and regularly check the official NU website for further updates.
