The wait finally over! The 49th BCS Result for the Preliminary (MCQ) Exam has been published today, Sunday (October 19). A total of 1,219 candidates are selected for the next exam. Candidates can check Special (Education Cadre) BCS Merit list on the official website.

The authority of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) confirmed that, the preparation almost completed.

This year, Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Exam for the 49th Special Notification was conducted on October 10, 2025. On the day, the authority announced that result will be published within 7 days and viva will be start from October 26, 2025.

“The exam results of the 48th Special BCS (Doctors) were released within just three days due to fewer candidates. However, as the 49th Special BCS includes a large number of applicants, it might take around 7 to 10 working days to complete the evaluation process,” the official said.

According to the BPSC, about 312,000 candidates from all over the country registered for this BCS Exam. Among them, a total of 176,670 candidates participated in the exam, which is 56.49% of total candidates. As such, more than 1,36,000 were absent in the MCQ Type Exam.

  • Click the Result Link: Look for the link titled “49th Special BCS” and click on it
  • Open the PDF: The result will open in a PDF file containing roll numbers of selected candidates
  • Search Your Roll Number: Press Ctrl + F (Windows) or Command + F (Mac) and type your roll number to find your result quickly
  • Download & Save: Once found, download and save the PDF for future reference
  • Print if Needed: Take a printout of the result copy for your records.

After completing these steps, candidates should carefully verify their roll number and name to confirm their merit status. It’s also advised to keep a printed copy of the result for the next exam.
