The Preliminary Exam of 49th Special BCS (Education Cadre) was conducted on October 10, 2025. A total of 176,670 candidates participated in the MCQ Type exam confirmed by Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) source.
This year, a total of 683 candidates will be recruited through this Special BCS for the Education Cadre. Over 312,000 candidates across the country have registered for the 49th BCS Exam. As per this, 456 candidates applied for each post.
The PSC source also said that only 176,670 participated the exam, which is 56.49% of total candidates. A total of 1,36,082 candidates were absent in the Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) Exam taken on Friday, October 10, 2025.
According to the PSC sources, the 49th BCS Result will be published this week, or next week. The preparation for the MCQ Exam Result is almost completed. Currently, the verification and cross-check process is ongoing.
Meanwhile, the authority has announced the viva exam date. The candidates who will pass in the preliminary, their viva exam will be start from October 26, 2025.
