The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) is all set to publish the results of the 49th Special BCS written (MCQ) examination within the next 7 to 10 days. Once the results are out, the viva voce (oral exams) will begin on October 26, 2025, according to reliable PSC sources.
This special BCS has drawn massive attention across the country as it aims to fill hundreds of Education Cadre vacancies to address the ongoing shortage of teachers in government colleges and teacher training institutions.

Fortunately, the entire exam was conducted smoothly without any report of irregularities or unwanted incidents.
According to a senior PSC official, the commission is working hard to ensure the quick publication of results to maintain the recruitment schedule.
“The results of the 48th Special BCS (for doctors) were released within just three days due to fewer candidates. However, as the 49th Special BCS includes a significantly larger number of applicants, it might take around 7 to 10 working days to complete the evaluation process,” the official said.
Viva Exam to Start October 26
As per the PSC roadmap, the viva voce (oral exams) will begin on October 26, shortly after the written results are released, report JagoNews24. Only candidates who successfully pass the written test will be eligible to take part in the viva.
Another PSC member mentioned that the viva process will move quickly to ensure timely recruitment:
“If everything goes as planned, the viva exams will conclude by November, and the final recommendation list could be released by the first week of December. If the process finishes earlier, results may even come out in the last week of November,” the official added.
