Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) is all set to publish the 47th BCS Preliminary Result on Sunday, September 28, 2025. The date has officially confirmed by BPSC authority.
The Public Service Commission (PSC) has rejected the request of extension of pass rate at least eight times the number of vacancies or at least 20,000 candidates must select for the written examination, report Observerbd.com.
As per the recent update, the seekers have submitted a memorandum to the PSC demanding that at least eight times the number of vacancies be allowed to pass the prelims. They argue that in previous BCS exams, this practice helped avoid a shortage of eligible candidates in the next exams.
PSC’s Public Relations Officer, SM Matiur Rahman, has stated that while the results are expected by September 28, the final decision depends on when the evaluation and preparation process is completed. If ready earlier, results could be announced by September 25.
This year, preliminary exam for 47th BCS was held on September 19 across 256 centers in eight divisional cities, including Dhaka. As per the report, a total of 374,747 applicants has applied for this BCS Exam.
Note that, Bangladesh Public Service going to recruit a total of 3,688 candidates through the 47th BCS. Among them, 3,487 cadre and 201 non-cadre posts.
