As per the report, the admin and his gang are operating the channel and posting thousands of girls’ videos and pictures. CID also claimed that the gan has grabbed crores of Taka by selling these videos and pictures on various platforms.
The information has come from a press conference organized at the Malibag CID office on Monday, May 22, 2023. CID Chief Additional IGP Mohammad Ali Mia gave this information at the conference. The CID Chief said that teenagers at the ages of 12 to 18 years used to tell their parents they are doing freelancing. Parents were sure that, their daughters are doing freelancing.
But, they were forced to give their videos and pictures to the group. Later, the video shared the videos on Pom Pom Telegram Channel if the girls won’t able to pay the money or if they did not respond to their demands.
Additional IGP also stated that “We found that the group collects money from the girls by threatening to make videos go viral. On the other hand, the gang also earns crores of money by selling those videos in the country and abroad”. They make monthly subscriptions to the channel for 1 thousand to 2 thousand takas. A lot of people from the Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia, Portugal, Canada, America, and England joined the Pompom Telegram Link by paying a monthly subscription, said the IGP.
